I'm a well-read, intelligent, sarcastic, verbose, articulate, elementary school teacher. I love to travel, however on a teacher's salary it is a little difficult so most of my traveling is done through food, wine, and books.

I collect two things: experiences and books; I am an unashamed bibliophile. I'll try anything new once so long as it isn't at the cost of life or limb. I do enjoy the outdoors (being a Floridian does have it's advantages) however I am a self-admitted klutz so anything too strenuous or from a great height should be seriously considered before attempting. While I am very passionate about my sunshine (something I simply cannot live without) I adore wet rainy days. There is something about a gray, wet, blustery day that makes me feel alive. That and want to curl up in a wing back chair with a good book. To try and narrow down things that I am passionate about is hard to do.

I'm a special needs elementary teacher by trade. Admittedly though, I never actually stop teaching or learning. I love intelligent conversation and new ideas and experiences. However I can oscillate quickly between abounding enthusiasm and passive when a topic no longer interests me. Being a teacher also means I'm married to my job. I work A LOT! However that means I also have abounding vacation time and weekends free, a perk I exploit regularly.

I do have a real passion for music and live theater. I spent sometime as a musician before I settled down to a real job so I have to live vicariously through other's performances. An extension of my love of music is I enjoy singing and dancing.

I truly believe everyone can sing. Music is one of the purest forms of communication. In this age of technology we are inundated with beautiful voices. We as a culture believe that these 'freaks' are the only voices that should be heard. Everyone can, and should, sing if the moment strikes them.

But i am not dating someone just because they are a jock, i would date them because of their personality and how they wear their identity. If they force a type of person, they generally are faking their personality too. So the best advice i can offer you in your search is BE YOURSELF! There nothing people would see as a flaw and not like. These are the characteristics of your personality, who you are.

So, I am originally from PA, and then spent 12 years in MD, and now I am a traveling physical therapy assistant. "What is that?" you may ask. Well, basically, I work through agencies to find me jobs all across the US. I usually spend 13 weeks in each place and I will change my location on here to wherever I am at any given time.

I am very open and truthful as a person, although with alot of learned social graces over time. If you are at all empathic though its not hard to read my emotions as I have a very expressive face.

When left to my own devices I am contemplative and thoughtful, often about concepts I may be creating in my head and considering the implications. It is a trait I share with Nikolai Tesla who is one of my personal heroes.

I grew up Catholic and even went to private school. About the time I started really getting some sense in my head I started to ask questions that the religion really couldn't answer. So I studied other religions - other forms of Christianity at first, then Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Shinto, Satanism (which is a con not a religion), Paganism, and a variety of Heathen religions. Yes I have danced naked under a full moon. I consider myself "Spiritual but not Religious".

I am a very open minded leftist. I would prefer if I didn't have to say I was a Democrat and I certainly wish we had more than a two party system. However I am no fool and I do not "waste" my vote on independents (ie I compromise and vote Dem). When possible I vote my mind.

Nerd-dom is my life!! Be ready for that when you talk to me! I'm fun to talk to, easy to get along with, but I am MASSIVELY not cool. Just know that starting out. That being said:

1. I love RPGs. They've been my hobby since 13 and I just dig a game about acting. I never really wanted to do it for a living because I'd have to be a writer/director/actor and that is far too demanding to be fun. Plus we must consider the tragically un-hip part of me.

2. I am also a wannabe writer - I love to write short stories,essays, poems and other crap that I mostly keep for my own enjoyment.

Sometimes I feel like I'm caught between adolesent intuitions and being a woman and making the right decisions. I've come to some conclusions about myself and this is what I have so far. I am a continuous instigator and a rebel at heart. I'm insecure and indesisive. I seem to have been a teen statistic by choice, left to mend in the mist of my own actions. I cry at times in my own solitude for no reaon as if to release emotions that were better left unspoken. I have an untactful way of communication as if the words couldn't fall from my own tongue. I have dealt face to face with my own trials and tribulations. I have a reputation that has been slandered from crust to core, leaving only remnants for show. I have sporatic desires to challenge the world, succedingonly in the posterior of my bemused and despondent mind. I am indefinetly ready and willing at moments notice, to sacrifice my aspirations and over look my integrity, if only to experiance a seconds rush of adrenaline. I am stubbornly passionate in my ways. I wipe away the dirt when I hit rock bottom, not relying on assistance or a bandage.
